Fall is here and every person who loves pumpkins, warm soups, crisp nights and specialty scents is in heaven! I thought today I would share some fun things to do both around the house on a week night and out on the town during the weekend.
1. Fall movies on Hallmark & Lifetime
One of my most favorite things to do, which is why it’s number 1.. watch all the new Fall movies! Daarik has to cover football games on Friday night so I love nothing more than to curl up on the couch and watch movies! I am absolutely obsessed with Hallmark and Lifetime, they’re new “Fall Harvest” movies are always the best (yes, yes I am a bit sappy and love the silly romance)! I keep seeing previews for Love on a Limb and I am so excited to watch it, haha!! And need I even say, Hocus Pocus….🤗
2. Making homemade soups and chili
I love making soups, I have to be careful with how much I make at a time though because Daarik doesn’t eat soup and I don’t want to end up with a freezer full of ten different types of soup! Maybe for dessert you can make some delicious bread (I shared this recipe earlier this month) and some hot chocolate! YUM!
3. Decorating with all the pumpkins, mums and Bath & Body Works candles as possible
This one might be pretty self explanatory, ha!! But I will say I love all the different shapes, color and sizes of all the pumpkins (both real and ceramic) and gourds and the mums have just gotten prettier and prettier each year, they now have hybrid mums (maybe they’ve been around for a while and I’m just now hearing about them). And I’ll just end this one with, holy candle…. Bath & Body Works never disappoints on the candle scents, I love every Fall scent they make! #oneofeachplease
4. Visiting a Pumpkin Patch
What screams Fall more than a pumpkin patch?! I feel like with the temperatures cooling down it’s the most perfect outdoor activity! There’s a patch we visit that has homemade cider, donuts, jams, fresh apples, all the pumpkin and gourds you could imagine, an apple orchard and fun games for the kiddos. It’s the absolute perfect day and maybe if you’re feeling a little froggy you could visit a winery and do a tour afterwards(you know, since it’s not miserably hot).
5. Shopping for the perfect jackets, scarves and boots
Finding the perfect Fall accessory is obviously one of my favorites, I know not everyone loves to shop, but hey, get a PSL (pumpkin spiced latte) and pumpkin bread at Starbucks and try to make it fun! Finding the cutest and afforadle blanket scarf could make your day (if the PSL didn’t).
6. Visit a coffee shop
Most towns have the cutest, most inviting coffee shops that offer flavored, seasonal coffees. Go in and see what they have to offer. Peppermint anything is always a win for me, obviously anything pumpkin is a win for most. But you may discover a new flavor you love and puts you in the Fall mood!
Hope this gets you all in the Fall spirits to go out and try some new things or start your yearly Fall routines! Happy Wednesday!!
