Bumpdate: 22 Weeks

I am over the halfway marker at week 22 and starting to slowly but surely show, YAY!! We cannot wait to meet our baby boy and are so excited for him to meet everyone he’s already so loved by!

As promised, a half way point baby bump post… these are my favorite!

Name: We have a name picked but have decided to keep it a secret (I obviously love secrets with this baby, ha!). As soon as Daarik or I let everyone know he’s here, we’ll be sure to fill you in on his name. But for now mum’s the word! ❤️

Size: Baby is right around 11 inches and almost 1 pound. He’s the size of a coconut or spaghetti squash, which is crazy to think he’s grown that much!

Sickness: I still haven’t had any sickness and thankfully the exhaustion has subsided. During the day I am feeling a lot more energized so on the weekends I have been organizing and de-cluttering our house (mainly closets).

Cravings: I haven’t really had many cravings; luckily for Daarik, no late night ice cream runs! All of my veggie adversions have pretty much disappeared as well so maybe (fingers crossed) this babe will eat more like his mommy after all.

Movement: This is the most amazing and connecting experience ever, I am so happy that Daarik has felt him as well. He isn’t kicking super hard often but every once in a while he’ll be doing cartwheels it feels like. It’s the best feeling and so hard to try to describe, sorry!

Nursery: The nursery is coming along, I had it painted a while ago (pre-pregnancy) so we didn’t have to worry about that. It’s a really light gray-ish color and I will post pictures when we’re completely finished with it. We’ve thus far bought a gliding chair and side table, his bedding, we had his changing table/dresser already I’m just needing to paint it, and a few other accessories like wall hangings, his mattress, diaper genie, etc.

Workout: Since finding out I was pregnant I pretty much stopped all of my classes (which I didn’t have to, it just made me feel more comfortable). I still go about 3-4 times per week since starting my second trimester and I just run/jog/walk on the treadmill (the bigger the bump gets the more difficult it is to run/jog…..). I figure since I’m still moving and getting my heart rate up a bit that’s great for me and baby. In my first trimester I was so soooo tired after work that it was so hard to make myself go workout but it definitely makes me feel better now that I have the energy to go again!<

avorite purchases for my growing belly: These Zella leggings (in black) for sure and even if you aren’t pregnant still check them out, they’re literally the best! Asos jeans (wearing in pictures), h&m jeans, this OTS top, this dress and this dress.

I figure I can get away with buying mainly dresses for summer! Luckily for me my sister and one of my friends let me borrow a ton of their maternity clothes so I’m pretty set. I’m currently still wearing regular tops (or I’m buying a size bigger and know I’ll still wear after baby comes) but I know that’s going to change sooner rather than later!!

Thanks for stopping by and reading guys, I really appreciate it!

xx
